Purchased two of these for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. The current fob was spooky in randomly transmitting car lock/open door signals. Battery change and cleanout of the micro switches didn't seem to help. My car battery died one day from the constant transmissions so we had to replace the fob.I had a found fob that I tried to reprogram and swap the electronics, but I understand you need an erased fob to program it. The APP that lets you erase and reprogram would cost me 40 CDN with no guarantees.The blank key fobs came overnight from Toronto to Windsor Ontario, home to the greatest number of Jeep Wranglers per capita. Getting them cut was a bit frustrating. The website enclosed with the product points to a local Windsor locksmith who is only interested in selling his own product. Thanks very much. CTC sells their own for 80.00, but were out of stock, and had no way of charging for the cutting only with their fancy machine. My friend who works at a big box store said they had the same issue with security fobs. Fortunately he directed me to a local locksmith (on Jefferson) who not only happily cut the keys in moments, but tested them in my locks as well.Programming was easy there are several videos that show the two key method from the user manual. Note that some of the videos don't wait for the chime to signal completed programming, which I suspect causes the remote start or other buttons to not function.I did have at least two times when it looked like the programming didn't start, but with 4 tries I had 2 new working ignition keys in a total of 15 minutes.All 4 functions work on both fobs. The Locksmith commented that they looked better than most 3rd party fobs, nice and solid. Inside, however, the switches are carbon pads not microswitches (just like a TV remote). I suspect that they might have a limited life of a 5+ years. I have not tested the range, but I noted that the antenna was different, and that might make a difference, especially if the included batteries had been on the shelf for a while.Bottom line - good value purchase 2 Fob/Blanks $34, two key cuts 7.85 Landed cost per key just over $20. Highly recommended.

Got the keys cut at the local locksmith for about $4 each. Looked up the programming and took about 5 minutes to do both. You do need two working programmed keys. Follow the timing and you’ll be fine. Remote start and lock unlock worked fine. Used on a dodge ram 1500 slt quad cab no problem.

The dealer quoted me $360 for one key. I took my 1 original key to the local hardware store, and they were generous enough to cut both of these keys for free. Less than 5 minutes on JSCAN, I was able to program both keys. I now have two extra keys for under $40. No, you do not need two OEM keys to program these with JSCAN.

Was able to program my wife's 2008 wrangler myself BUT for my 2018 I had to take to the dealer which was not too bad here in Delaware. It was $80 no matter how many were cut and programmed 1 to 100. They did 3 and it was $80 like they said, and they all worked great. I am having an alarm issue now and it's been just over 1 year. Not sure why it is but just started going off randomly when you move the remote from one place to another. Need to start with changing the battery first because it goes off when I'm walking away or in my office approximately 40-50 yards away. Then I have to lock and unlock and relock to get it to stop, then don't touch the remote! lol We will buy again from them if needed for any vehicle I own and recommend to friends!!!
